POSITION SUMMARY:
Position is intended to provide critical assistance to the Assistant Treasurer in various Treasury Functions.
" Manage all foreign payments through the Delegation and Inter group payment systems
" Monitor foreign exchange exposures and implement foreign exchange hedging in accordance with company policies and procedures under the guidance of the Assistant Treasurer
" Issue foreign exchange reports to the business units
" Coordinate the preparation and presentation to Treasury of the annual Finance Plan
" Comply with the Asset Securitization report requirements
" Monitor the financing of the Canadian Companies, and will manage the banking pool and the Inter group loans
" Back up to the cash management and the commodity hedging areas
" Work in important special projects such as Treasury Workstation and Netting and Foreign Exchange systems
" Manage the Canadian and US cash management systems for British Plaster Board (BPB).
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Manage the FX including processing weekly and monthly external fx payment transactions
" Manage Foreign Exchange hedging
" Assist in US Cash Management area
" Support Commodity Hedging area
" Responsible for the
" Managing the financing of the Canadian operations
" Monitor loan compliance for all entities with both internal and external lenders
" Key resource re Treasury Workstation maintenance
" Banking liaison for updates to resolutions and authorized signers on the accounts
" Asset Securitization Management & Reporting
PROBLEM SOLVING:
Decisions are made over a wide range of area both domestic and foreign. Initial decisions will be made with the help of the Assistant Treasurer but in time the incumbent will be expected to come up with their suggestions on solving various situations and explain the logic they used to come up with their solutions.
KNOWLEDGE:
" 4 year college BS degree in Finance or Accounting
" MBA is desired
" Familiarity with Treasury workstations is plus
" Knowledge of
