Position Summary:
Overall responsibility for the monitoring and reporting of the financial position of a Division of Client.
Specific Responsibilities
" Responsible for assisting the Finance Department in closing of monthly financials, including preparing and approving certain journal entries.
" Develops and prepares financial and operational performance measurement and key indicator reports.
" Assists in the accounting for and analysis of the direct sales and service units.
" Involved with and provides leadership in cost containment and/or reduction efforts.
" Monitors or establishes appropriate financial controls within the Division.
" Provides Division management with needed financial information and analyses to efficiently run the business.
" Provides forecasts and budget information, as required.
" Consolidation, translation and analysis of international operations.
" Provides input and recommendations to Division management on business performance.
" Provides analyses of product line and customer profitability.
" Develops and implements computerized accounting solutions, as required.
" Provides leadership on special projects.
" Develops, recommends and/or implements appropriate internal (transaction-related) control procedures.
" Coordinates the Division annual budget process as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue and profitability forecasting.
" Develops effective operations review presentations for Division and Corporate management.
" Provides training to direct sales and service managers, as required.
" Coordinates credit and credit hold issues with the Credit Department.
" Other tasks, as requested by Division General Manager and/or the Corporate Controller.
Minimum Qualifications (education, skills, knowledge, experience, etc.)
Bachelors in Accounting and 6+ or 8+ years of experience in a combination of manufacturing and/or public accounting. Extensive knowledge of personal computers, Excel, PowerPoint and computerized packages is required. MBA a plus.
