Salary: $50-55K +bonus
This company is a stable (since 1971) and growing insurance provider. They do business in PA, DE, and MD and have recently purchased an insurer in Atlanta that will give them access to 40 more. . Financial strength and claims paying ratings from third party rating agencies are instrumental in establishing the competitive positions of companies in the insurance industry. A.M. Best rates this company’s financial strength at "B+" (Very Good).
Description:
The Accounting Supervisor is a newly created position in the Finance Department of a growing Insurance company located in Conshohocken, PA. The Accounting Supervisor will report to one of the three Controllers in this group and be responsible for the management and development of three direct reports and their functions. This Supervisor will manage: AP coordinator; the AP coordinator is currently ‘fully employed’ in this task and will need minimal supervision. This department will most likely grow to two coordinators in November of this year. Payroll Accountant; this accountant is currently responsible for managing the payroll for 200+ employees in ADP online module. Junior Accountant; the Junior accountant is charged with bank reconciliations, and Fixed Asset schedules, along with other, general accounting tasks.
Education:
A University Degree is mandatory, Accounting or Finance Majors are preferred.
CPA a plus but not required.
Requirements:
- Supervisory experience
- 7-15 years of experience in accounting
- Excellent communication skills
