Staff Accountant, So. Philly 40K ++

I do not want an auditor, but rather someone who has private exp and month-end close responsibilities. Essentially, the client is looking for an Accountant who doesn’t mind travel. They would rather over-sell the travel to be initially 50% with a 30% target thereafter, rather then someone think it is 25%, and it actually being more. They would prefer a young and dynamic Staff or Senior Accountant from private industry, or someone out of a small/regional public firm who has acted as a company’s accountant on a month-end basis. A straight auditor probably wouldn’t be the right fit. 2-4 years experience would be great ($45-55K). This person will go out to different venues/facilities and get involved in SPECIAL PROJECTS at a Facility in the Accounting/Month-End/Financial Reporting area, including journal entries, bank recs, etc…JOB COSTING WOULD BE A HUGE PLUS

Staff Accountant QUALIFICATIONS: · Degree in Accounting required · Minimum of 1-3 years staff accounting preferred · Proficient in Windows environment with strong Excel skills · Knowledge of MAS 200 and FRX preferred · Knowledge of internal controls preferred · Must be accurate and efficient with close attention to detail · Must be willing to travel DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist Regional Finance Managers with facility oversight · Assist Regional Finance Managers with review of monthly facility financial statements · Assist Regional Finance Managers with review of A/P and A/R aging reports · Assist Facility Finance Managers with budget creation and maintenance · Assist Facility Finance Managers with financial statement formatting · Assist with facility accounting during transition of Finance Managers · Assist with training of new Facility Finance Managers · Travel to facilities to assist with issuesOther duties as assigned
