Client is currently seeking a Senior Forensic Auditor to join our Forensic Audit team. The individual will conduct thorough investigations of fraud and financial abuse, both civil and criminal in nature, occurring within the company. Additionally, the person is responsible for preparing reports; communicate findings to management, human resources and legal, and recommending corrective action relating to internal control failures, and disciplinary actions relating to company employees. The Forensic Auditor may testify in hearings and criminal trials and liaison with law enforcement officials when necessary. The Forensic Auditor will aid in the development of processes to effectively manage electronic evidence and be responsible for managing the operation of company's computer forensic software.

The individual will also help with the development of fraud awareness training and analyze fraud trends and internal control failures uncovered during the investigate process.

 

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5+ years' investigation experience conducting extensive, complex, detailed and confidential investigations. Additionally, the position requires strong presentation/facilitation skills, prior case management experience, and excellent written & verbal communication skills. Degree in related field, CPA, CIA, CrFA, CISSP, and/or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) Certification and strong MS Office experience preferred.

Primary Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be able to conduct internal investigations of alleged or suspected violations of criminal law and corporate policies, including theft, fraud, embezzlement, conflicts of interest, collusion, kickbacks, and records falsification.  Applicant must be able to work independently in planning their caseload, but will be provided assistance and guidance on assignments that involve unfamiliar issues or unusual investigative techniques. The applicant must be able to prepare clear, comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports in a timely manner.

 

Management /Organization Skills: Detailed oriented individual with excellent communication, interviewing and writing skills. Understand evidence gathering and handling procedures. Ability to apply company policies and procedures in relation to complex investigations. Ability to work independently.

 

 

Must have Bachelor's degree. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

"        Prior investigative experience relating to the investigation of corporate fraud

"        Computer forensic skills desired but not required.

"        Internal audit and/or public accounting experience

"        IT analytical skills including ACL, Microsoft Access

"        CPA/CFE/CrFA/CIA/CISSP

"        Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

"        Computer skills PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

"        Expert testimony experience preferred but not required.

"        Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, peers, and other contacts

"        Superior problem solving ability

"        Project management skills

"        Ability to work independently and as part of a team
